John David Helstrom touched everyone who met him. His smile and the sparkle in his eyes — contagious! He had a natural ability to see through other people’s eyes, he genuinely cared about people and helped many. He fed and cared for the homeless, friends and family in need, both financially and physically — his heart truly was pure, kind and giving.
John was a very skilled heavy equipment operator in the mines in Hibbing. He was in demand on every job site he worked on!
His family meant the world to him, and he to us. He was and always will be the best of each of us. John’s grandfather was legally blind, so what an honor that John was able to be an eye donor, of that I know he is proud!
