Steve was born, Oct. 14, 1942, in Seattle, Washington, the oldest son of Nancy and Harold Frank. He was preceded, in death, by his father, mother and two brothers, Rob and Larry. He is survived by his wife, of 49 years, Barbara, son Thomas, sisters, Michelle and Sharon, brother David, nieces: Keila, Jordan, Jessica, Rose, Jayden and Zophia, nephews: Zephyr, Solomon, Joshua, Evan, Ira, Marvin Jr., Akili, Carmello, Theodore and Draco.
Steve received a BS in Education and a Master of Arts degree from Central Michigan University and a PhD from Washington State University. He taught at Gogebic Community College (Michigan), Lamar University (Texas) and Northeast Louisiana State. He was a professor at St. Cloud State University for 38 years and retired in May 2016. He is greatly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and students.
